Hey guys, Mikkel here,

If you were with me live this past Saturday, you already know that we officially introduced the most ambitious Veritas project we have ever worked on: Veritas Village Atenas, a 340-acre-plus development site in Costa Rica with plans for more than 450 homesites.

What we introduced this past Saturday is the most complete Costa Rica solution we have ever brought to the Expat Money community.

I have already heard from countless community members who were chomping at the bit to build their Plan-Bs in Costa Rica… many of whom had been politely bugging me for years about building a solution that is up to the standards of our community.

…and if you were there live or already have watched the replay of last Saturday’s presentation, you already know it is as ambitious as anything we have ever done in the history of Expat Money…

Veritas Village Atenas.

Veritas Village Atenas is a masterplanned, freedom-oriented community where family values, resilience, security and community all converge in one physical place.

Our expansion into Costa Rica is for serious families who understand that the future is no longer something you simply trust. It is something you prepare for.

We have all seen supply chain problems, empty shelves, and power grids strained during peak demand and have seen what happens when governments and utility providers can no longer guarantee the basic comforts people once took for granted.

They tell families to turn down the thermostat.

They ask households to reduce consumption during peak hours (sometimes forcibly).

They warn that the grid is under pressure and that everyone needs to adjust their life around the limits of the system.

That is exactly the kind of dependency more serious families are trying to reduce… and it’s why a resilient future requires more than a luxurious house with a nice view in a safe country.

It requires unrestricted (and ungoverned) access to clean water, healthy food, and abundant energy.

When the grid is strained, when supply chains break down, when shelves are empty, or when officials start telling people to make do with less, the families with real options are the ones who already thought ahead.

That is the ethos of what we are doing in Costa Rica with our Veritas expansion plans.

Giving a high-end, zero-compromise option to the families who are informed enough to understand they will need options.

You can see what it looks like when we spend years (and invest tens of millions of dollars) into creating the ultimate zero-compromise Plan-B option in Costa Rica by checking out the 3-hour presentation in full right here: Watch The Presentation Replay Now.

Inside Veritas Atenas, we are planning the practical pieces that turn Costa Rica from an already strong Plan-B jurisdiction into one of the strongest Plan-B opportunities we have seen in the region.

Costa Rica already has many of the ingredients serious families look for: accessible (and affordable) residency options, meaningful tax advantages, geographic proximity to North America, a long-established expat community, strong private healthcare, and a lifestyle that is easy for international families to navigate.

For us, the missing piece was physical.

Where can people from our community actually live?

Where can they spend part of the year?

Where can they build a resilient full-time family base, or create a long-term escape hatch that they can use if life at home becomes less stable?

That is what Veritas Village Atenas is designed to provide: a place where successful, future-conscious families can secure a home base with reliable, off-grid access to water, energy, and the practical infrastructure needed to live well in a world that keeps getting less predictable and more turbulent.

At Veritas Atenas, we are designing a community where families can enjoy the comfort, beauty, and lifestyle of Costa Rica while also having practical layers of resilience built into daily life.

The strategically chosen land will provide every single community member with ample access to clean drinking water. No chemicals or additives. Just fresh, sediment-filtered, charcoal-filtered, and UV-filtered water directly from our wells.

Plus, every home model future residents can choose from is designed with built-in solar panels so there is no reliance on energy providers.

These are luxurious, durable homes built with concrete foundations, premium materials and finishes designed to hold up for generations (you will see our suite of luxury home models when you watch the presentation replay).

…don’t conflate “off-grid” with “roughing it”… what we are building is luxury in every sense of the word…

The physical infrastructure is only part of the vision… the community itself also needs a say in its own destiny.

One of the major problems with living inside a large-scale masterplanned development is that the people who live there are often treated like passengers who are just along for the ride (not-so-fun surprises included).

It is common for people to buy into a project, move into the community, and then find out later that the real decisions are being made somewhere else by people who do not share their values, priorities, or long-term vision.

The Veritas team has taken a deliberate approach to flip that traditional HOA model on its head by implementing a voting system so the people who own and live inside the community have a real voice in the things that matter.

For example, if you care deeply about adding more fruit orchards, you could allocate your votes toward that, whereas if another family wants to support a larger chicken coop inside the development or additional recreational activities, they can spread their votes across the priorities that matter most to them.

Simply put, this system is about creating a structure where the people who live there can help guide the future of the place they call home.

That is what a freedom-oriented community should look like.

It should look like real democracy in practice… not top-down control.

Our expansion into Costa Rica is set in Atenas, one of the most desirable areas in all of Costa Rica.

San José is on one side, the Pacific beaches are on the other, the airport is roughly 25 to 30 minutes away, and the property itself is still secluded enough to feel like a true escape.

That balance is extremely hard to find… and yet, Veritas Atenas is able to offer that ultra-rare balance.

…hence why it took us years of searching high and low to find this 340-acre-plus gem (and once we did, it cost us nearly 35 million to acquire it)…

At Veritas Atenas, you can be close to the city, without sacrificing peace or privacy.

You can be nestled deep in nature without every dentist appointment, dinner out, or trip outside of the Village becoming a full-day production, let alone a multi-hour outing.

Inside Veritas Atenas, you will be able to wake up, enjoy your coffee in the fresh air, spend part of the day at the beach (with only a short drive), and easily head into the city… all without having to spend hours in the car.

Phase One of this multi-phase development includes only 46 homesites, and many of them have some of the best views and most desirable positions on the entire development site (the total development site includes more than 450 homesites).

Phase One lot sizes range from 629 to 2,557 square metres.

Phase One occupies one of the most desirable sections of the Veritas Village master plan, offering early buyers the first opportunity to secure homesites within this thoughtfully planned community.

Now, I am literally only summarizing a fraction of a fraction of what we covered during the three-hour presentation.

We went much deeper into every single aspect of what makes Veritas Village Atenas so desirable for freedom-oriented families who want something better than what the West is offering.

During the three-hour presentation, we walked through the full opportunity behind Veritas Village Atenas.

We covered why Costa Rica makes sense as a serious Plan-B jurisdiction, why Atenas is such a strong location, what makes this 340-acre-plus property so special, and how the land, climate, water, food production, solar power, home design and community model all fit together to serve our community.

Most importantly, we explained why this is the first Costa Rica opportunity I am comfortable presenting to our wider community as a serious full Plan-B solution.

Some people will want big mountain views, others will prioritize maximum privacy, and others may want to be closer to the village area, walking trails, neighbours, or community amenities.

The sooner you watch the presentation to learn more before scheduling a call with my partners, the better your chance of getting first crack at the exact site location that fits the future you are already picturing for yourself and your family.

If Costa Rica is the country you have been waiting for us to turn into a viable Plan-B jurisdiction, you need to take the time to watch the presentation replay right now, as it will only be available for the next couple of weeks.

After you have watched the presentation in its entirety and are ready to learn more about Veritas Village Atenas directly from my partners, you can send an email to them at [email protected]
